Why Dr. Nicole Started Knapp Chiropractic
Freedom. That’s what my job is about. Letting you do the things you want to do in the way you want to do them. Whether that’s
washing your classic car, playing on the floor with your grandkids, getting aggressive in a game of pickup basketball or just keeping up with life.
That word has been central to my practice – not just for my patients, but in my own career. There’s nothing worse than being unhappy with your chosen career path – but that’s where I was before starting Knapp Chiropractic.
Let’s rewind a bit though…to a simpler time. I grew up with a passion for helping others and always knew healthcare was my path. When I was a kid, my grandma who was sick used to say, “Nicole, hurry up and be a doctor so you can fix me.” The journey to chiropractic was a simple decision – no blood, no medications, and a hands on approach with fast results – I pretty much always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I studied biology, went to chiropractic school and entered practice.
And then, for a moment, I thought I was wrong. After school I worked for a larger “treat ‘em and street ‘em” chiropractic office here patients were rushed out the door. I didn’t have the luxury of time with my patients. I didn’t have the flexibility to get creative with their care.
I thought I had lost my passion.
But, I was wrong. The pain of my predicament was simply masking
it. My goals and career were out of alignment. And, I didn’t have the
freedom to pursue what I really wanted.
Really, that’s what we are all looking for. The ability to pursue the
things in life that make us happy…physical freedom, without limitation, pain or other health repercussions, that is the goal!
Which is why I started Knapp Chiropractic and Wellness in 2012.
The best part of my world now is that flexibility – to hurry your visit
along if you only have 15 minutes on your lunch break, or to sit and
talk for a while if you are struggling. Freedom to help grow my own
business, help people around me, and better my community. The
ability to make decisions in the best interest of my patients and
Having found my passion again for chiropractic is freeing because
I now know that when pain keeps you from your passion, it doesn’t
have to be permanent, and we can help.
Dr. Nicole's Approach
Life. It’s fast paced. Full of friends and family. Work and chores. Birth, life, and eventually goodbyes. But what does it really mean to live? People have been asking this question for thousands of years.
At Knapp Chiropractic we believe it means that in the good times you have the tenacity, spirit, and health to tackle the world. And in the bad times, we help give you the hope, grace, and strength to push through to another day.
Many “about” stories spend a lot of time defining the terms behind chiropractic medicine: Subluxation, Herniation, Sciatica, Bulging Disc. Pain…you don’t need a dictionary to define it for you. You can feel it in your body, see it in your eyes, and, in the case of chiropractic, often hear it in your joints. But, once we understand your pain, we can focus on our primary goal – working with you to find the antonyms to pain…
Happiness ● Health ● Joy ● Comfort ● Cheer ● Peace ● Pleasure ● Ease ● Blessing ● Contentment ● Relief ● Wellness ● Well-Being
And though it wasn’t in the thesaurus, we’ll add one more: Living – really, truly living life the way it’s meant to be.
Wherever you are at with your health, wherever you are at in your life, at Knapp Chiropractic and Wellness we are here to help.
